A demonstration Wherigo created as part of a demonstration at the 2009 UK Mega event at Weston-super-Mare. It is a simple tour guide with a geocache at the end. Geocache ID is GC1WVBZ.

About This Cartridge

This Wherigo is a simple demonstration Wherigo set in Weston-super-Mare.  It was written as a demonstration on how to create Wherigos at the British Mega Event in August 2009.

A PDF will soon be uploaded giving instructions on how this Wherigo was created. Currently trying to find somewhere to host it. In the mean time, if you want a copy, please send me a message (make sure you include your email address so that I can send it)

Starting Location

Outside the front of the Winter Gardens Pavillion in Weston-super-mare.

I took 2 attempts at this one. Earlier in the day I just couldn't get the final part to log. Eventually I retreated to the car to do this and within a couple of minutes, it had zeroed in. The actual cache is not to be seen and it absolutely stinks of nastiness down there :(.
I played this with my son, MrMinecraft :)

Our second wherigo of the day and our first cache in Weston today. This wasn't quite what we expected, but we had a nice walk and the cartridge worked fine on our Android Sony Xperia SP using whereyougo. Sad to see the final location is no longer active. All of the locations worked fine, but we struggled to get the cache at the final as the coords were pointing between two different hinty items. Eventually, Tom's height once again provided the necessary view point to make a find.

This is the second day of our little holiday from the bustle of Southampton using Burnham-on-Sea as a base for a bit of sight seeing and, naturally grabbing as many caches as we can get our grubby hands on!

Thanks for the cache myriadgreengage, a_snail, and Captain Gore-Tex!

Took a detour on the way to a day trip to Devon
No problems with the Wherigo but had to wait for a Muggle to move at GZ.
