Sort of an impromptu coalescing of cachers today as REDRUM13, KatQ2U, TropicalJoe, Teckman and I set out to find some high favorite caches and then maybe a Wherigo or two. We began by grabbing the excellent puzzles (The Great Wall of Topanga and The Twins) on Topanga Canyon, and then made the drive over to Glendale to take a crack at this one, as I hadn't done it yet, and the others wanted someone with some Wherigo experience to help guide them along.

I sort of wished I read the description more closely before heading this way, as I didn't realize that it was simply a Wherigo to take me from cache to cache, which we could have done independently from the Wherigo. But, I guess it wasn't all that bad, as it did give me a chance to show the others how this type of Wherigo worked.

We found the associated cache for the first stop fairly quickly, but were having a bit of difficulty finding the 4-digit number until REDRUM13 noticed something the rest of us had overlooked. Took care of that and we were off and running.

Only one other slowdown along the way, and before too long we found ourselves looking for the final. We spent a bit of time wondering if it were still here, as other loggers had been unsuccessful, but after a few minutes I caught a glimpse and soon after TropicalJoe was extracting the log. We signed this (as well as all the associated cache logs) as Team Why? Mainly because we were clearly not at our imaginative best today. Thanks for the fun.

FTF!
This was quite a journey, one that started very early today, before the sun came out. What a great Wherigo! I had a lot of fun doing it. It came me a chance to explore this part of the neighborhood as well as grab some caches and visit some pretty cool sites. At GZ I had trouble locating the container and the final set of numbers that would award me with the completion code. Since I was running very late for work, I decided to put a stop to my search and continue it after my shift. I came back this afternoon and after a while I had an "inspiring moment" and located the elusive container. Thank you, Richard, Zach and the other member(s) of TeamDiversion for putting this Wherigo together. First of its kind for me. A favorite point for sure. On my haste to complete this before work, I forgot to sign the logs for the caches I found along the way. The final, however, was signed. Now I get to do this one again. SL. TFTC!
