A Companion cache to 'A Common Problem' (GCQBEE).A Whereigo geocache by HawMorfords.
A wander around Oxley Creek Common - located in Brisbane's southern suburbs.
This is a companion cache of the first geocache placed by HawMorFords, '"A Common Problem".
I f you haven't already found 'A Common Problem' , you might like to gather the required information and bag both caches while out and about enjoying this terrific spot.
If you have already found 'A Common Problem' , a return visit is certainly worthwhile. The trees have grown, birdlife is abundant and this area is looking great.
Pushbikes are a great way to cover the distance required to find the cache. Bring the family and spend the morning or afternoon.
To download the Whereigo cartridge for this cache, please click on the "users web page" link at the top of this page to go to the Wherigo listing of this cache. There you'll be able to see more details and download the 'cartridge' for running on your PDA or Garmin Colorado.
PLEASE NOTE: Whereigo is still in development by Groundspeak so from time
Oxley Creek Common is located at 400 Sherwood Road, Sherwood.

Thanks for the introduction to Where I Go's. A few glitches with the cartridge but an interesting experience none the less. A golden oldie.

It started badly with trouble trying to download the player then the cartridge. Took ages and we were ready to throw it at something. Eventually, got to start and the game was very confusing early on. It closed down at the first task twice and we had to restart each time. Ready to throw it in again. Well, what can we say? Kudos to the CO for making this Wherigo and the first one in Qld... but that's about it. A very long walk from nothing to nothingness to more nothingness... not a point of interest in the game which tells you something I guess. At the end the cache is in grass up to our shoulders and beside water so think slithery critters and cobblers pegs galore. Not at all inviting especially after the tedious journey. We found it frustrating not being able to go to the compass without having to get out of the game. Glad to have this for our challenges but sorry to say we did not enjoy it at all. Will need to do more to get a better experience of this type of cache.

Played this one out to the final with IolantheK and teamdfl. Unfortunately for both of them their Iphone app didn't want to play ball at the final and couldn't complete it on their phones. I however happened to have an android phone. I had to load the "Wheretogo" app, download the cartridge from the "WHEREIGO" site (after logging in with my Geocacheing user name and password, then copy it to the phone. One last thing, I made the misstake of exiting without saving and had to start the whole thing over.

My first ever Wherigo.
Read the comments about wishing they had brought a push bike, so I made sure the mountain bike was in the back. Fat load of good it did me because the pedal fell off on the first long leg and I ended up riding the rest pushing down on the crack with on leg so I could power with the other. My left leg is aching now ha ha ha.
Anyway, finished the tour, found the cache and now to head home to Townsville to make our first Wherigo
Cheers

Was in Brisbane for business and wanted to get this WiG. Awesome walk. Did it at sunset and really enjoyed the area. Thank you so much for bringing me here.
