This was indeed an adventure. I happen to love a good wherigo, and this one was a nice incorporation. It was quite a challenge, but I'll save that story for another log.

This is a story that becomes more than a quest it becomes an obsession. When I heard the tale of this particular fellow I became quite intrigued. Although he did not wish to be visited I managed a brief interview with him. The doctor was quite correct he was very withdrawn. But he did tell me there were others that have been to see him. I had an idea whom that might have been. It would seem he had been sharing details of this magnificent treasure that he had hidden. So I knew I was not the only one searching for it. I gathered my notes and I left but I felt I had enough information to work with. It turns out I was wrong. I reached out to one of my fellow colleagues and we compared notes. He had pieces of information I did not have and I had pieces of information he did not have. He shared some of his ideas and thoughts where the treasure might be located. I in turn shared with him my information. Then at the last minute a solution fell into place. Like the professor from Journey to the Center of the Earth I could not wait. I made sure my light wand was fully charged and set off on my journey. Needless to say the undertaking was almost more than what I expected. My first journey into the wild I met with a formidable water passage. I was equipped to attempt this but I felt it may be an unnecessary risk. So I followed the course of the stream till I found a place we're crossing was acceptable. I managed to climb up the hill would you bring me right into old dirt road. Following my arrow on the GPS the road was taking me right where I needed to go. For the longest it was reading only two tenths of a mile I was beginning to think something was wrong. Then it dropped it down to one tenth of a mile my heart jumped my pace picked up I knew I was getting close. Find me the arrow pointed into the woods and I was under 100 feet. Carefully I picked my way in till I received my final notice. The treasure was close I'd checked out a couple of accommodating spots but to no avail. Then I saw one more place that looks like it had something to tell me. Getting to it had to be done carefully this was no place to slip and fall. As I approached a spot I saw something just a little out of place once again that rush of excitement hit me. Then I saw it the geocache stack . I uncovered the well concealed in ammo box to claim my prize. This was indeed a very creative and unique puzzle and it may possibly be more then one person would want to take on alone. I know I had some difficulty with it but in the end it can be done. One thing is for sure this will be a very memorable night caching experience. TFTC SCFMF
