There are six excellent examples of the typicall covered bridge in the county. These are community treasures in Lehigh Valley. Five of these, are open for traffic, often are taken for granted when crossed by busy travelers every day. The Lehigh Valley Covered Bridge Tour will offer you an opportunity to journey back in time to a quieter, more idyllic way of life.

About This Cartridge

This Tour should take you through scenic Lehigh County with many a cache along the way. There is no need to the tour in one day. The bridges can be visited in any order you desire or whenever it is convenient for you. Each bridge has it's own history which will be explained when you vist. These can be done in a decent order if you start at Bogert's Covered Bridge and work your way north and west. This is how the cartridge was designed, but again you have the flexability to visit in any order that is convenient for you!

Did this one today but can’t get my code to enter in Wherigo to unlock it and even took a picture of the code so I know I have the right one! Otherwise worked out fine!

Met kathleenjo for an adventure to Trexler Nature Preserve but first we tried this Wherigo. We made it to the end of the cartridge with no problems. Our only thought was that it would be nice to have the waypoint R0 R1 R2 listed on the cartridge somehow at each bridge site. We were flipping back and forth several times to find the waypoint for the next bridge. We have visited all these bridges previously for another cache many years ago and recalled finding all the bridges in the past. I guess I should compare the photos from this year to the ones I took on another visit. It was a lovely day to visit these pieces of history. Thanks for the history on each one and bringing us back through Lehigh Co.
