Jimlips and I followed the well done cartridge and had the container in hand without a problem. Except, watch for the loose rock, the PO and the steep up and downhills! Thanks!

Very cool! Played with NightKnight today - I've always wanted to check out this area, but never had anyone with me. Finally had some time after caching all day in the Placerville area. Stopped by here to grab the Regular cache nearby, then and noticed there was also a WIG! WooHoo! Did it concurrently. Took a long time to find the cache, then came back and got the final on this one. Amazing that these were all dug by hand. also amazing that my Smartphone worked as well as it did in these diggings! Thanks for a fun WIG. My sister claims they were dug to route water runoff. But the Gold thing makes more sense to me.

Didn't know this area existed and was glad that this Wherigo brought us here. It ran without any problems on my Garmin Oregon 405.

Papa EGTH and I played this cartridge on a (thankfully) dry day. The ground was quite slick due to moist soil and oak leaves, but we managed to stay upright and unmuddied in our exploration. We didn't know these diggings even existed, yet we've driven past them numerous times over the years. The cache was found in good condition. Thanks for the adventure!

I've always wondered about these diggings, but never had enough incentive to check them out until now. So after all the digging here, did they find any gold? The wigo ran great on my android. I had to hold my phone overhead in some places to get into the zone. The trenches have just enough dirt/mud to be slippery after the recent rain - watch your footing. TYFYWH
