A (somewhat modified) Wherigo cartridge that Pengvin wrote to propose marriage to Samm99 in the fall of 2012. Most of the locations are unchanged and, just as Samm99 was, you will be led by the cartridge to the very spot at which Pengvin proposed. This version of the cartridge also leads to a geocache: Proposal in Silverdale (GC47D8H).

About This Cartridge

When Pengvin decided to propose to Samm99, he wanted to make the day special and to involve geocaching, which had originally brought the couple together, in some way. Living in California, it was difficult to for him to arrange too much locally, though, and since his entire trip to Silverdale was to be a surprise to Samm99, even relatively simple things, such as ensuring that she would be dressed appropriately for a marriage proposal when Pengvin made his appearance in a suit, raised difficulties. In the end, the idea of a Wherigo cartridge - with certain things done both virtually and in real life (including changing into nice clothes and picking up flowers at the florist) seemed to solve most of the issues.
After some research into Wherigo writing tools, Pengvin found one he liked and began writing a fairly simple cartridge. This is a somewhat modified version of that cartridge. More details can be found at the geocaching.com web page for GC47D8H.

My husband and I played this cartridge on our wedding anniversary. It was our first Wherigo cache. Thank you for putting together a fun cartridge. We enjoyed it.

Nice cartridge! Had a lot of fun playing this one today, used the Nuvi500 and an iPhone to complete this one! Ran very smoothly on both. Grandsons also had fun with this one as they each got to hold a cartridge player!

It was a blustery November day out caching but a fun Wherigo. My first Whereigo solved. Thank you
