Take a journey into the past to the year 1887 and try to salvage the wreck of the first German submarine, the "Brandtaucher"
About This Cartridge
36 years ago, on the 1st of February, 1851, the "Kieler Brandtaucher" (German for "fire diver"), the first German submarine, after two successful dives, get out of control and sunk at the third dive. All three passengers, the constructor Wilhelm Bauer, the carpenter Friedrich Witt and the heater Wilhelm Thomsen survived the misfortune.
So far nobody has managed to recover the wreck. The Schleswig-Holstein flotilla failed on the attempt in April 1851 as did the Danish navy in the years 1855 and 1856.
But now: His majesty Kaiser Wilhelm I would like to test the new ultra-modern (and still top secret) diving bell of the German navy and on this occasion find and salvage also the wreck of the Brandtaucher, after all a historical testimony of German engineering art (later one can claim that it had been found during dredging works).
