About This Cartridge

This Wherigo is a tour around Saylorville Dam. Most of this tour can be accomplished while driving around and you staying inside your car. Depending on the time of the year one gate may be closed requiring a 0.2 mile walk. This cache is very handicap accessible. Enjoy this beautiful area that protects the city of Des Moines from flooding.

There is NO physical cache at the end. You will get a custom code which you will be required to send to me via email for final approval of this cache, along with the other requirement mentioned upon completion.

If you encounter any errors while doing this Wherigo cache, please email them to me.

Starting Location

Head west over the dam

Nice wherigo. We had to do a little walking due to roads being closed during the winter.
Thanks for building the cartridge.

This was my first Wherigo experience. I come to this area often as my Mother loves to take rides out here. Interesting area. TFTW

We played this WIG with Boreal Walker, accordiongal and EskoClimber. Very enjoyable tour of the area. Where we live, there were much contested plans to do something similar with the always flooding Kickapoo River but that project was halted and the land made into a wonderful Driftless area reserve. Hard to imagine what this area must have been like before, or what our Kickapoo Valley might have been. The cartridge ran great on my Oregon 300.

I was here with the crew and this is the first Wherigo where I used my iPod Touch. I completed the cartridge with Trekin' & Birdin', AccordionGal and Boreal Walker.
Great tour and fun facts learned along the way.
