Welcome to BFL Boot Camp - Pirate's End. Released with the October 30th, 2010 BFL Boot Camp V suite of caches, this is intended to be a night cache.

About This Cartridge

This is a media rich start to Pirate's End, with additional clues for the Night Cache beyond.

Pirate's End offers a Puzzle based alternive solution for this stage; if you can not do this WheriGo.

But either way, the 2nd half of Pirate's End must be completed as a night cache.

Starting Location

The adventure starts off of Regional Road #25, at the top of St Helena Road. It involves a night hike along the Bruce Trail.

Unloaded at the designated parking area and started up the Wherigo and headed on down the road. As I made my way through the cartridge I got to the spot where it reminded me to save. Well, I didn't and now less than 2 minutes later the Oregon just shut itself down. I have a love hate for my Oregon as it is really fussy with WIG's. So I had to go back to the start and start over again. Luckily it was only a few hundred of meters backtrack. Needless to say, I saved often after that misstep!

Got to the night part of the hunt and it was a nice and quick find. Had a good chuckle at the end. Those dang little monkeys! I signed in and successfully saved the completed cartridge and have uploaded the files. Thanks Pat for bringing me up here.

Found at 23:58h accompanied by Elf, Fababoo and In Need of Cache. This was a fun one to do as a Whereigo. I had difficulty downloading it to my iPhone, so we used Fababoo's Oregon to run the show. Everything went smoothly, and we followed the clues and reflectors to find the cache. After Fababoo played with his zones to complete the cartridge, we headed back up the trail to the fire pit, where Elf quickly got a nice toasty campfire going to warm us up, on this sub-zero evening. Poor Fababoo, we found this one 2 minutes too early! Guess he needs another cache to make 101. While sitting at the fire, I got the cartridge to download, so I hiked back to the start to replay it myself... Success! Yay. Thanks for the fun hide!

This was my first WIG...I ran it off of my blackberry and it worked not too bad (actually, refresh rate is slow), but otherwise, it worked out ok. Thanks for the new experience.
