Yesterday we went out on our very first Wherigo caching adventure, after almost 3 years of geocaching, when we finally obtained the necessary tech equipment to be able to run the Wherigo games. That was “Henry and the Boomer” at Manly, and it was such fun that we decided to have a go at this one today.

Set out after lunch, parking the geomobile near the published coords on Lady Penrhyn Drive, and then heading off down the fire trail on our new adventure. Knew we were on the correct trail to Deathly Deathness when we saw the "ENTER AT OWN RISK" sign

Found ourselves having to make some choices, and sometimes suffering the consequences of such, and visiting some interesting locations. I was familiar with many of the spots, as I had done a few solo trips to the area chasing other caches (including some other chudles caches), but this was the geofamily’s first visit here. But one feature I hadn’t visited previously was the large BMX track, which was most impressive and must have taken quite some time & effort to construct. As we passed by the track, on our way to our next waypoint, there were a few riders giving it a good workout, and I managed to snap a photo of one of them in “full flight” as he launched himself over a mound.

We progressed our way around the various bush tracks & fire trails, and backtracking some on one occasion due to a previous “poor choice”, before eventually arriving at the final GZ location. And with the final GZ cache coordinates now revealed to us, we were all frantically scouring the landscape for the “end of game” prize. It took a bit longer than expected, but we finally got there in the end with CIH. Signed the log book, took a clue card to complete our collection (15 cards now remaining in the cache), deposited a smiley badge and a novelty domino to add to the treasure, posed for the hidden camera, and then replaced the cache container as found.

Thanks chudles for setting up this Wherigo cache and thus providing us with a fun filled Sunday afternoon family adventure in the bush. Well worth a Favourite point from us.
