The tour will guide you to some of the many monuments and memorials that are in the park.
It will take approximately one hour to complete the round trip, longer if you stop to enjoy your surroundings and take in the view.

About This Cartridge
Designated Kiwanis Memorial Park by motion of City Council on April 1, 1946, it has an interesting and unique history. From 1907 to 1912, ashes from a local power plant were hauled to this area and local contractors were encouraged to dispose of their excess fill there from the time Saskatoon’s first building boom in 1911 until the Thirties.
In 1935, using funds from the CNR as part of an agreement for the creation of the Bessborough Hotel, the dumpsite was transformed into the park site. It was leveled and improved with grass, trees and shrubs throughout the Thirties, including a tree planted in 1938 near the 20th Street entrance to commemorate the contribution of Mr. Argue, a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Parks Board.

Walked the trail today with Northern Gardener and Dos Maestros Jubilados... perfect day for this adventure... cartridge worked perfectly on my Galaxy S6 running the WhereYouGo app...

I was up in 'Toon town with llizz today picking up a few caches of interest. I used my samsung galaxy tab 7, and llizz used her iphone 6. Both completed to unlock code, although we may have had to wave said devices differently at times....
Thanks for a great tour of the park on a cool day, that took us a hour to complete.
