My second Wherigo experience and enjoyed this one learning about the history of Manly. Very well thought out. After a brief search found the bonus cache as pointed out at the end. Now back to the car. Thanks for the experience.

I used to shy away from WIGs. They never worked well on my smart phone. But with newer phones and newer cartridges, it's a different story.
I'm sure this has been the most enjoyable and best constructed WIG yet, although it's neck and neck with one of Tyreless's others. This one wins with it's urban history. I learned several things about an area that I've had a lifelong connection with.
It almost took the full 2 hours that would have risked a parking ticket but I made it back with minutes to spare.

We have been geocaching for almost 3 years, but have never done a Wherigo cache because we lacked the necessary tech equipment to run the Wherigo games. But we recently acquired an ipad (with GPS) so could finally have a go. This was to be our first ever Wherigo cache so, after loading the app and cartridge, we all headed down to Manly to try it out.

Found a parking spot in Bolingbroke Parade, and then walked down to the starting coords. Followed the instructions and found ourselves heading off on a really fun little adventure around Manly. Being long-time locals most of the information, and all of the locations, were already familiar to us, but it was fun answering the questions and figuring out the mini puzzles. Geoson#1 said it was very “Professor Layton” (computer game) like, which was an aspect he really enjoyed.

Anyway, after stopping mid game for ice creams, we eventually arrived at a familiar GZ. Had already guessed where it would be before we started off, but we hadn’t been here for many years so it was great to be back for the views and a cache.

After snapping a few photos with “the Boomer” we set to work searching for the cache container. Eventually found the well stashed container in a spot we had checked early on in the search, but obviously not well enough, so it ended up taking us much longer than it should have. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.

Thanks Tyreless for setting up this Wherigo cache, a great introduction for us to Wherigo caching, and a most enjoyable historical walk around Manly. Well worth a Favourite point from us.

Awesome experience and cache Tyreless! CJ and I found this one with this morning and really enjoyed the whole walk around Manly and learning some history. I especially was interested to learn about how the Norfolk Pines were planted along the beach front.

We have been chasing down many and local caches for the past few months on a calendar grid chase. There are still a few nearby that are on our list that we have not done. This whereigo is now ticked off, but there is another Tyreless one which we'd like to do as well. The final GZ is a clever hide despite growing up on the north side, I'd never have know this spot was here. You really need to be a local from Manly to know about this spot. Very clever and it seems so appropriate for the GZ. Like Tyreless wrote the cache are still there and it good nick.

We signed the cache and replaced it exactly as we found it. Thanks Tyreless for another of your caches. We enjoyed this one particularly and it gets a fav point :) SL TNLN TFTC

This was a fun cache to do. I have to admit, I am skeptical of WhereIGo caches because sometimes the directions have you going around in circles. Not so with this one, much to my relief! Nice and uni-directional! And, you can't go wrong with Manly as a backdrop. I love this area. AM and I learned some interesting local history along the way too. Thanks for a great cahce, Tyreless!
