This story is dedicated to Hartmut Tautz, who had lost his life at the age of eighteen on his run to freedom, on the night of August 8-9, 1986 in attempt to cross the state border in Bratislava.

About This Cartridge

The year 1986 wasn't particularly a happy one for young Harmut Tautz. He reached the age of 18, his father died and basic military training was waiting for him instead of his dream of playing the clarinet. And there was more. In the end, it all led to the decision to flee Eastern Germany via Czechoslovakia to Western Europe.

In this WIG adventure, you will return in time to the year 1986 and the place where Hartmut played for his life. You will experience a bitterly humorous story and travels of a young boy who just wanted to peacefully live his life. In the story, you will meet many characters and experience situations that were common in that era, but now appear very absurd to us.
