About This Cartridge

A Wherigo adventure in Wellesley Island State Park. Players will need a pen or pencil and something to write on as you will be given a completeion code after the final question is answered. You will also be given the coordinates to the final at that time in case you wish to continue caching near the nature center. The first two stops and the final are some distance apart, so a vehicle is suggested. Signal is a trademark of Groundspeak Inc. and is used with permission.

Starting Location

Near an educational sign along the main road of the park.

Could not find it with today's geoMob outing, Model12, Sakidoo, Mr. Pack rat, Hopper12 and GumbyGern.

A well designed Wherigo, we had no trouble with the iPhone and iPad apps, though Hopper12's Oregon froze up at waypoint 5. The only hitch was that the zones at the geology wall and Eagle wingspan over lap, so that as soon as we answered the question at the wall - BANG - we were in the next zone! Fortunately we knew where to look for the eagle question, we've been here before, but anyone wandering about would find it with no trouble.

Our only trouble came when we got the final co-ordinates and arrived at the GZ to sign the log. Terrain 2? No not at that GZ! The six of us searched the slippery steep rock face for almost an hour, even PAF'd a couple of previous finders and could not turn up the cache.

All in all a very disappointing Wherigo, that rewards the completion of the task with a very poor hide! Not even a decent hint to help localize the cache....

Nice Wherigo in the thousand islands! We were up here last year, but didn't have a chance to go after this one. Today we were passing through the area and decided to stop, despite the pouring rain. What a fantastic park this is! We didn't have any issues with the cartridge and found the well-hidden final easily enough. Thanks for writing this one!

My Colorado shut off after the first answer. Then again after the second. I thought that it might be because my batteries were low so I changed them and made sure to save the cartridge after every answer. It was fun walk around the park. Thanks for putting this together.

Idid it! I did it!! I DID IT!!! I FINALLY learned how to use the new Oregon! I did the tutorial Wherigo, then went out and did this one. This is the closest one to me that is not "play anywhere". What great fun! This is nicely set up, and easy to do. The last area gave me a little fit, but I resolved it quickly. Found the cache at the end and put the first signature in the logbook at 1015. Thanks for my first Wherigo adventure.
