About This Cartridge

This 8 stop Wherigo (including the geocache) will take you around downtown Kent. The cartridge will highlight some of the historical buildings in the city. Some of the old buildings are still standing and likely a modified version of the original building while others are just a memory but memorialized in a plaque. Enjoy the tour!

Starting Location

This cartridge begins, at the listed coordinates

First Wherigo down in Olympia (Scatter Creek rest stop) and now 7 today.

This one was much more interesting than the rest stop Wherigos. Nice flow. Good use of existing building plaques. Good history and DT Kent nearly empty on a Memorial Day - everyone is at the beaches . . .

Final at house that I'd like to tour with pattyaddy sometime. The final got me, in that I parked low and walked a ways, only to climb up a steep ivied hillside to a simple hide. . . I'm just used to geocaching - plus, no back ups on a Wherigo. . still have to figure out Slots and Saving the Game. . .

Nice Wherigo

Plaidguy and I were a little confused by this cartridge. We loved the places it took us to see, but we were only asked a question at the first stop. Thereafter, we had to choose answers without being asked a question. Fortunately we were able to guess right on most of them, and used trial and error on one or two.
Thanks for showing me parts of Kent that I haven't visited for at least 10 years!
