Whack-A-Viking!! Remember those games you played in arcades? This game is based on Whack-A-Mole, cleverly adapted with the help of RangerFox. There are two levels of play. In Whack-a-Lackey mode you can whack muggles, forum moderators, and Groundspeak lackeys. Run to an area and whack before s/he disappears! Play in Vikings mode and you'll be given the confirmation code to log on the cartridge page & co-ords needed to complete Geocache GC5G2MA (Permission from English Heritage)
The Battle of Ethundun in 878AD saw King Alfred the Great battle the Danes. He needs your support to rid the area of these interlopers. In Vikings mode you will be given the co-ordinates for geocache GC5G2MA. The cache can be found within 2 miles of the posted co-ordinates. You will need to gain 750 points before the co-ordinates appear. Also, you need to play in Vikings mode. Have fun! Images of Groundspeak personnel: Copyright 2008. Groundspeak Inc. What a great fun game - and a good way to stay geocaching fit! Highly recommended and a great final too!

Played at Imber III event, got an unlock code that didn't work at the time, though I have now unlocked it. Good fun!

I played this at the Imber III event.
After not doing very well, I had a break through and managed to get a valiant 948, earning me the co-ords for the final of the geocache, which was easily retrieved.
It is a fun version of the game, and worth doing at family get togethers with the kids. :-)
The Vikings version does need a big space though.
Also, my unlock code doesn't seem to be accepted to show the game as complete, but it was all good fun.

Haven't done many whereigo's and none like this one before! Had great fun doing it, although not very good LOL First time I got 0 - time to re-read instuctions - then got a better score which gave me a score confirmation code and a cartridge unlock code. Struggling to unlock, but sure that's just me.
Thanks for putting this together - and the hilarity that it caused us - even the geohound loved it!
