Alles of niets

On a number of occasions this was very nearly ‘niets’!
This Wherigo has been on our radar for quite a while and although we don’t speak Dutch that doesn’t stop us from having a go at Wherigos. 1.5 difficulty? No problem... how hard can it be? Parked the car and set of to:
Zone 1 - No problem
Zone 2 - This stumped us a bit because we thought it wanted the answer in words but after a few attempts got the right answer.
Zone 3 - We couldn’t work out what was being asked here but after a few attempts got the right answer
Zones 4, 5 and 6 were easy
Zone 7 - We thought we understood the question but we still had to have a few guesses until we got the correct answer.
Zone 8 - No problem
Zone 9 - This zone was hilarious! We understood what we needed to find but we couldn’t find 'them'. After guessing at a couple of answers Mark decided it was time to ask a local who was working on his car. Surprisingly he didn’t understand the Dutch word for what it was we were looking for and didn’t speak English or German... time for Pegz to help out. Our daughter Pegz came along on this trip and she can speak French very well so she carefully explained to the man (and his neighbour who came out to help) what it was Mark was looking for. We can’t really say too much without saying what it was we were looking for but the conversation was hilarious! They wondered why on earth we were looking for this. Pegz made it quite clear that it was nothing to do with her and it was her crazy parents! Definitely a highlight of the whole weekend!
Zones 10 & 11 no problem
Zone 12 - We understood the question but then had to decide what the Dutch name was. Our translation app gave a few different words and we got the correct one in the end. After that it was easy
Thoroughly enjoyed it, having set quite a few of our own wherigos we fully appreciate the effort that has gone into setting this one up for us to enjoy.
