Fort Smith Area Geocachers Cito Cache

I was heading out to do some caching in Ft. Smith this morning and checked this one before leaving the house, to see who had found it. Hmmm, no one? I guess all the locals must be saving it for the August souvenir thing. Well, not me! I made sure this was my first stop. Well, after a stop for lunch at Wendy's! I then headed over and started off by parking in the wrong place. Bad move, I would learn. The recommended parking place is the best place relative to the start of the Wherigo. Oh well, at least I got a good walk in! My next mistake was not staying on the correct side of the street. That got things out of order for me, although it all worked out in the end. I just ended up with less trash than I was supposed to collect. Nevertheless, the cartridge worked well and I was rewarded for my efforts with the coordinates of the final cache location. Off I went to it, and I was greeted with a nice blank logsheet! Nice hide, by the way! And a well done - and different - Wherigo experience! I now understand the recommendation to "turn up the volume!" After signing the log, I repeated the whole cartridge, doing it correctly by staying on the right side of the street, and all worked well this time and I collected all the trash I was supposed to collect. So it was me the first time, not the cartridge! Afterwards, I called the CO and met up with him to share my fund experience with him and visit for a while.
