Greetings from Davis, CA! Papa EGTH and I played this cartridge yesterday. Our friends Team Pluto had recently played it and they were certain that I'd have one of my infamous meltdowns caused by frustration while playing this Wherigo. We knew it would involve a lot of time and driving, so that wasn't the real issue for me. The issue was the, in my opinion, poor choice for the final container location. An ivy-covered, poison oak-infested eucalyptus forest? Not cool. I'm very allergic to PO and since it is dormant right now, the search at the final vague location was not fun in the least.
Most of the objects mentioned as being at the final are no longer there and the cartridge should be updated. We spent so much wasted time looking for those objects and only a check in call to Team Pluto confirmed that they were missing. The coconuts, key, and cache are there, but nothing else.
The cartridge worked well and we are in the habit of saving after completing each zone, so if it had crashed, which it didn't, we would not have had to start from the beginning. Thank you for sharing a bit of interesting history. I'm just disappointed with the final cache.
