Coin Collecting Frenzy

FTF!!! My very first FTF on a Wherigo and quite possibly my last.
It just so happened that I was borrowing a nice Oregon 550 from a couple good friends this week and had nothing better today than go out caching.
I arrived at the starting point and started collecting coins. Well, that was the plan at least but I guess I kept drawing the short straw as I was NEGATIVE 179 coins and 25 minutes into the game. After getting pretty frustrated and wanting to quit, my luck turned and I s.l.o.w.l.y. started making headway. Gain 70 here, lose 30 there, gain 100 here, lose 125 there. You get the point. This went on and I started getting funny looks from the guy across the street who came out and watched me for about 15 minutes. After I reached the 600 coin mark I decided that since I was having such good luck I would keep going and try to rack up the coins. I made it up to just over 700 before sliding back to my final tally of 674 coins in just under an hour and a 1.3 mile walk.
I had a couple hiccups that were soon straightened out and I was on my way to the final. A nice quick grab, a little FTF jig and I was on my way.
