This was our first wherigo, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. It went fairly smoothly. If I had a general comment, it would be that it would be nice if the cartridge would register you at a location if you got within about 20 feet of the actual location. It was often difficult to get it down to 0 feet (especially with buildings in close proximity), and a couple times even when the GPS registered 0 feet to the location, it still did not register that we had arrived.

Additionally, the final coordinates appear to be about 75 feet away from the actual cache location. Thank goodness for the clues or we would have never found it! Even so, since the GPS pointed us to an inaccessable location, we could not get the completion code for this cartridge.

Thanks for a fun walk around Cannery Row.

Meet a couple of cachers from New York and did some caching together. I helped them with local caches that they were having trouble with and they invited me to do Sea of Cortez with them. When we got to the end it was tricky to get the gps to give us the coordinates to the final destination. I had to go out farther then the gps said to zero out the cartridge. TFTC SL

First Wherigo that I have attempted so I was not sure what to expect. Enjoyed the characters and the historical settings. Had to work hard to get into some of the zones. Almost missed the final stage, and started looking for the cache at the sculpture.

After looking for a while, I noticed that Final stage popped up in my locations, so we headed off on another adventure.

Got to several ground zero points at the final and even had a spoiler pop up on the screen. Alas, could not find the cache in the described spot.

Had the hardest time getting to the Restaurant and had to get quite creative here.

Enjoyed the cartridge and wish, I would have had time for the others in the area. Will have to return soon for those when the final is back in place.

The first couple of zones were a little tricky- they would trigger and then "move" as we tried to perform the actions. After we got going, though, the rest went smoothly. A nice tour of the area. Unfortunately, we were unable to find the cache at the end.

Great Whereigo! This was only my second one done but it was the best yet! CoachMeg and I took Jeepo and the little one to the aquarium today and finished the day up with this cache. The final location does appear to be a homeless hangout now and the immediate area appears to be their restroom. Otherwise it was a great time!

Perhaps my favorite whereigo that I have done. We had a good time walking around cannery row, meeting some interesting characters as part of the game, and seeing some things that we probably would have missed along the way. And my pocket pc worked perfectly with this one.

Perfect! This one worked pretty good for me. Getting all the stuff together for the expedition after we had our own visit at the Aquarium. Thanks for the efforts!!

This was good fun, even on a touristy Saturday. One or two of the zones required that I, with my low-sensitivity GPS, stand out in the street to get things done, but hey - I had my wife to yell at me when a car got close. I remember cannery row, although it's been awhile since I read it. What I do recall is that there must be an enormous difference between the area when Steinbeck experienced it and now. I was surprised to see the lab building still standing as pictured from then. It's on the NHR - I wonder if it's been waymarked...
