This was fun learning the history of Mountain road.
Had no problem getting this to work once I got close enough to the sign to get it started.
The unlock code did not work for me but I got in touch with the CO and he told me what to try. I deleted the last 3 characters and it worked like a charm.
Would definitely do another wherigo.

Had to get the kids off electronics and out-and-about... nothing better then a WIG! You'll want to drive this one especially with smaller kids and dealing with Mountain Road - cool history and a great ending point!
Found the cache, unfortunately the WIG completion code isn't working, but since I'm not getting paid for caching it's not too big a deal...
Thanks for creating and placing! They're after me to create one as well...

Another unlock that didn't work for me...
Was out and about caching today and I stopped at this nice cluster of wherigos. This was the third one of the day. Had no issues with the cartridge. Played with WhereYouGo on my droid.
Well..If it had not been for the spoiler picture I would have never found this one. It was completely soaked though and a bunch of mush. Always like a good wherigo though!

Highlighting local history is one of the best uses for Wherigo caches. This cartridge worked very well on my Droid phone. I got to GZ with no problems and found the most likely spot but no cache. I expanded the search but still couldn't find it. I pulled up the cache page on my phone and had a look at the spoiler photos. They confirmed that the first place I looked should be correct. I finally found it on the ground in the open a few feet away from its intended spot. A critter must have dragged it out. I put it back as close as I could to the correct location and tried to wedge it in a little.
I also want to help get the word out about unlock codes. If your device gives you a code that is longer than 15 characters then just enter the first 15 on the Wherigo site. If you try to enter more it will not unlock.

Played with CVGRetirees, actually harder to zone in on the process point to get the unlock code than to find the cache. We had a bit of fun with this one. TFTW

Tried our first Whereigo last night and it was an epic failure because we had little idea how it all worked and what we should expect and then we found a hide that was unrelated to that cache which through us off the scent. After that experience we learned some more about how this works and tried this one today because, while it has more stages there is only one 'hide' and all the other could be done from the car which was good because it was coming down in buckets!
Thanks for a great learning experience!
We signed the physical log but the unlock code we received is not being accepted and the app we are using isn't creating a .GWS file that we can upload.

This was my First Wherigo attempted and completed. I used my iPhone to complete this. The experience was fun but a bit confusing for the first time trying. We thought the final was an ammo can because of the pic, looked quite a bit at the final, before finding it.
I'm sure the Wherigos get easier the more you complete. TFTW!
