My first wherigo. This was a fun thing to do. I loaded this on my Garmin 550. I tried doing it on my Garmin 650, but I couldn't easily find how to use it. Since the 550 has the the Wherigo clearly marked, it made more sense to use it.

It took me some poking around to see how I had to do things, but I learned as I went along.

I enjoyed walking around the park and seeing some parts of it that I had not seen when I visited here oh so many years ago. One small frustration was that I was at the last step to fight the ogre and I hit the wrong button and I accidentally exited the game without saving. I started over again, but things went much quicker since I knew what to do along the way. I got to the end and here I am logging it.

TFTW (Thanks For The Wherigo).

I think I did it sometime on February. It was my first completed Wherigo cache, it was very fun to do with my sister. TFTC.

We don't come here too often so this was a good excuse to revisit a place we always enjoy. The cartridge was very well done. We hadn't been aware of this folktale - thanks for the adventure.

This was our first time visiting the Gardens. Thanks for taking us to all of the sites.

Just figured out one can write logs on Wherigos. Played this one to the finish on 5/7/11. For some reason even though I've finished my Droid II Global WhereYouGo app won't save a GWS file. I have a GWC and an OWS, but nothing that the upload will recognize as completed. Anyway, born and raised in San Jose, I have been coming to this garden forever. Brought dZogchen with me, and we had a fun time meeting the friends and fighting the Ogre.

This was fun. Started raining when I got there, but just enough cover to keep from getting too wet.

Hey! This was fun, if not a little HOT out today in San Jose. GeoTykeCSM and I got together with L and P of gg5, plus EBound, because they both got new Colorado 300s! This was our first attempt at a Wherigo, and it was fun. I definitely want to do more, and would love to make a few carts too. But I recommend doing something like this on a cooler day. High 90s up to maybe 100 in SJ today. We decided Tyke was the monkey and P was the dog. I don't know what that makes me. Thanks for this fun little adventure.

I was with Dowbiggin plus 2 of the gg5. This was a lot of fun, although I'm just beginning to play with my new GPS, so it was very humbling to have an 11 year old lead the way. I definitely want to do more of these. Thanks for the adventure.

We are from Japan. It was interesting experience to see a Japanese style garden in the U.S. It was fall season and colored leaves are so beautiful. And it was so nice to touch with a familiar fairy tale here in California.
The story and quiz are well designed and pictures are so good. We love this wherigo so much. Thanks!

I've been to the Japenese Friendship Gardens at other times (mostly for geocaching). Today was a hot Saturday, and I had some time to kill before another SJ Giants game (a 3-2 win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes). I enjoyed looking around the park following the clues, watching the photographing of a wedding party. I don't know how the blushing bride and wedding party could not wilt in the heat.
The story was interesting and the result made sense, so it was straightforward.
I think the whereigo could shine at doing guided tours of the interesting, but unknown sites of any town.
