This Wherigo Church Micro had been on our to do list for ages, so today was the day.

We parked up at the suggested parking and off we went, we had no problems locating all the
required information. Then armed with the final coords, off we went to GZ. When nearly there, I wanted to go one way, but Mr. Knight senior insisted I was wrong, so we ended up on the wrong level!
When will he listen? Once at the correct level, we searched for a few minutes before locating the cache.
The log is slighty damp, but still signable.

Many thanks for setting this Wherigo in such a lovely village.

This one has been on our to-do list for ages but ran out of time last time we were in the area.
Pleasant walk around the village in the dark and only real problem was reading the date on the bridge! Torch wasn't bright enough to see it from the footbridge so had to stand on the road bridge and look over the wall!
Final co-ords looked wrong - must have misread a date somewhere but soon adjusted them to a likely looking spot.
Cache was a quick find a GZ

A really lovely wherigo in a beautiful church green. The cartridge worked well on the Oregon. Enjoyed collecting all the clues and a lovely walk to the final location.

So, our 1000th cache at last, and our first attempt at a Wherigo. Having never tried one before, I was grateful that it was pretty easy to follow, and we now look forward to having a go at some more. It has taken us nearly three years to reach this milestone - a lot longer than some other cachers, I know! - but it has been a lot of fun. Here's to the next 1000! TFTC

Our first Wherigo! We took a while to get the hang of the GPS on the app, using a Samsung Galaxy Ace, but once we got started finding the correct locations was very easy. I've tried unlocking the cartridge to no success as I do not have the correct file extension, however reading the forums on Groundspeak it looks as though this feature hasn't been added yet and so I won't be able to. I've logged it on the Geocaching website though and I'll definitely be looking for more of these in the future. This was a great beginners one set in a lovely area. Many thanks. Another Church Micro under the belt too!!

Great wherigo.

Inspired me to make my own, thought that a wherigo would be a nice addition to my home town.

With the use of PiGo, the cache was easily found and a nice little tour on a beautiful day.

Quite a while since I played a wherigo, and I wondered if the technlology had improved.
Well I think it has :-)
This time using a Garmin Oregon (as opposed to my Ipaq PDA).
I remembered the importance of saving the program data after each stage, and a good job I did too, as at the Pound my GPSr magically turned itself off!
A straightforward cache (probably a good, simple example for anyone starting out) with nothing complicated.
Thanks for laying this - I enjoyed it.
