The listed coordinates will take you to a location in an Albuquerque open space. Underground rumbling has been heard in this area, and there have been rumors that a pack of "graboids" has taken up residence here. A "graboid" is a ravenous subterranean monster that is prone to consume unwary geocachers. {For more on graboids, I suggest you watch one of the "Tremors" movies starring Kevin Bacon.}

About This Cartridge

As mentioned, there have been rumors that a pack of "graboids" have taken up residence in this area. Turns out those rumors are true. Your job is to hunt them down and destroy them before they eat you. Unfortunately for you, they are subterranean creatures, so you cannot see them. They are, however, all around the center of the playing area within a circle of radius 135 feet.

By good fortune, you have an inventory of weapons, including dynamite, hand grenades, and an AR-15 pistol, which can kill graboids, provided you are close enough to a graboid when you fire one of your weapons.

Starting the game.
When you start the program, you will have game instructions in your inventory and one visible location called "Center". You must go to the location "Center" to start playing. Upon arrival you will see an item "Start Game" -- select this item and click this button "Start Game" to begin.

Note: For trouble logging, make sure your completion code is no longer than 15 characters.

Starting Location

Access to the open space is easiest from the nearby residential area. You can park on the street at N 35° 04.127 W 106° 29.073

Played this with Hammerclub today. Almost made it in one try. Just couldn't find that last creature. Second time went pretty smooth with a game plan in place. Used an iPhone and Oregon GPS.

My son and I completed this Wherigo and had a blast with it! This was our first experience with a Wherigo and it went smooth using the Wherigo app on an iPhone. We were able to complete it on the first try although we started to get a little nervous as we got low on ammo and other tools - but we got it done! Thanks to ZenGuru for the great experience!

I enjoyed this game quite a bit, although it was frustrating when things didn't work quite right. I loaded the game both on an Android phone, using Whereyougo software, and on the Garmin Oregon 450t. It froze at the start on the Garmin and I had to reboot, but eventually it started working and I was able to complete the game on the Garmin. My android, loaded, but the whereyougo thought I was 2 kilometers away when I was standing at the gz. But once I got going and figured out how the game played, it was a lot of fun.

Took me 2 tries because I got excited and backed out too far.
Refined my tracking technique, so I believe half of the largest dragon was outside the 135' limit when I destroyed it.
2 Garmin GPS's is the way to go.
