This was our 450th geocache... we wanted to do a Wherigo for this round number... we're also in the midst of trying to get a cache every day in the month of August. Because of this, we only did the bare minimum :). Once we crossed the 500 point mark we called it a night.

No new high scores, but still a fun time had by all.

Played on both the Garmin Colorado 300 and the iPhone 4s. Both worked well and had similar accuracy. Great adventure for the crew as we split up and played separately. Great Fun!!

We looked like we were nuts walking around getting coins, losing coins, and losing more coins as a group of teenagers watched on. Had a blast and it was cold. Found quickly once we earned our coins.

FTF!!! My very first FTF on a Wherigo and quite possibly my last. It just so happened that I was borrowing a nice Oregon 550 from a couple good friends this week and had nothing better today than go out caching.

I arrived at the starting point and started collecting coins. Well, that was the plan at least but I guess I kept drawing the short straw as I was NEGATIVE 179 coins and 25 minutes into the game. After getting pretty frustrated and wanting to quit, my luck turned and I s.l.o.w.l.y. started making headway. Gain 70 here, lose 30 there, gain 100 here, lose 125 there. You get the point. This went on and I started getting funny looks from the guy across the street who came out and watched me for about 15 minutes. After I reached the 600 coin mark I decided that since I was having such good luck I would keep going and try to rack up the coins. I made it up to just over 700 before sliding back to my final tally of 674 coins in just under an hour and a 1.3 mile walk.

I had a couple hiccups that were soon straightened out and I was on my way to the final. A nice quick grab, a little FTF jig and I was on my way.

Thanks goofy for a neat Wherigo cache.
