Wherigo cartridges can be built with Wherigo Builder for Windows.
The Wherigo Builder is a Windows application that enables you to create real-world
interactive adventures. Define all details including
zones,
characters,
items
and any logic necessary to play a
cartridge.
You create the story, the content and the rules for others to play. The experience
can be as complex or creative as you wish.
How to Build a Cartridge
Although it's a little more complicated than 3 steps, here's a general overview
on how you build your own Wherigo cartridges.
Step 1: Map Out Zones
Zones, which are the basic building blocks of Wherigo cartridges, are defined locations
in the real world. You can set the stage for a player’s gaming experience by mapping
out these locations or zones.
Step 2: Create a Story
Define your context – the situation, objectives, and events that you want players
to experience. Then, you can develop characters,
tasks,
items and rules to support the experience.
Step 3: Share It Online
Now that you have created a cartridge you can upload it to
www.wherigo.com for others to play.
