The Shorter Instructions: It's a maze, get through it, get the co-ordinates for the cache. Background: Insert your own back story here about generic monsters, statutory damsels in distress, nonspecific bad guys, unexpected mishaps...all this and more was intended but doing the zones for this - well that could be a story called 'An Epic Adventure in LUA' just on it's own.

About This Cartridge

The Longer Instructions: When you start the cartridge go to the zone that is active. On entry an icon will appear showing you the direction(s) you can move. Black lines indicate walls, grey lines indicate directions you can move.

If you meet a dead end just simply back track. YOU SHOULD NOT NEED TO GO ONTO ANY ROADS. Each adjacent accessible zone will become active as you enter each zone. All zones are square or squarish and are roughly 15m by 15m. The zones are aligned north/south, east/west so that if your GPSr is facing due north and you move to the right you will be moving east.

This cartridge SHOULD be possible on all devices but may well work better on a GPSr with better accuracy than a phone. Some players may take a few seconds to process the zone active/inactive commands when leaving a zone. As the zones are not flush you may have to move across a 2-5m no-mans land before the next zone triggers.

This cartridge will not owrk in the emulator.

I got to say, this was my favourite from the wherigos around here.
Took me about 20mins to go from Area51 to the exit zone. And ran into one dead end on the way.
But, unfortunately, I could not locate the final cache.

Went back and logged the physical cache 12/Jan/2024.

Looks like I'm the FTC the cartridge :P

Have tried this twice but couldn't even find the maze. A new Oregon 450 with Garmin Player v4.10 and Wherigo Engine v2.11, and it worked for both the pre-loaded introductory Wherigo tutorial and the play anywhere Snakes and Ladders I downloaded, so have no idea why the Oval Maze wherigo isn't working.

After the first failure, downloaded it again but still not working. The maze icon doesn't show up at all. Instead, once you are in location 51 there's just a grey blank screen and [OK]. Pressing OK gives you location 51 marked "Here" and location 41 listed as well. On arriving at location 41, you find location 42 listed...and so it goes on. At each location you have a list of three locations: your previous and present locations marked "Here" and one more location to go to. Some of the distances were very short, with only 3 or 4 metres between locations 42,43,44 at times, but most were around 19 m.

Start at 51- 41- 42- 43- 44- 54- 44- 54- 64- 74- 75- 76- 86- 87- 75- 74- 64- 54- 44- 43- 42- 41- 42- 43- 44- 54- 64- 74... so that makes a figure 8 with a long tail, and going around again, so gave up.

Would appreciate help from anyone who has any idea what's going wrong.
