Spend time in Salem visiting some historical spots on the way to the cache. This is a somewhat quick 12 stop tour of some historical spots in downtown Salem. It should take less then an hour to play & find the cache, but you may want to spend a bit more time checking out each of the historic spots!
A geo-tour of some famous stops along the Salem Trail. After completing the tour you will be given instructions on how to find the geocache.
This is a super simple tour based wherigo. The next zone will open when you enter the zone you are looking for. No need to answer questions or pick up items, you just need to be in the current zone (within 15 ft) to trigger the next. After you enter that 15 ft zone buffer, click on menu and your next location will be available. At the end you will be given coordinates and a hint to the geocache location.

Took the Witch City Tour today with GatorWrangler and Pocono pup. Great selection of landmarks for this tour, and although I had been to most of them before, I enjoyed seeing them again. Nice walk on a beautiful day. Did have a problem not realizing that we would use the same parking location for so many of the stops, and we should have paid more when we first parkedm and avoided a trip back.
GatorWrangler used the Android app which did cause us to lose some information that could have prevented us from getting the final, but the CO replied so quickly that we were able to sign the log before leaving Salem today. Thank you, Bumble!

This was my first Wherigo and I really enjoyed this walking tour of Salem. I remembered some of the places I went on school field trips or with my family, and I went to some new places as well. It took us about 3 hours to complete because I wanted to take photos at almost every location. We also had to go back and feed the meter at one point and that took a bunch of time since we were quite a distance away from the car at the time.
I used the Android app, and the only issue I had was at the end. I was given the cache coordinates and didn't realize I should write them down. A popup screen came up when I was near the cache and the application wouldn't let me go back to the coordinates page. So, make sure to write down the coordinates as well as your completion number. I emailed Bumble! and told him what happened and he gave me a hint and we found the cache location right away. Thanks for replying so quickly!
I tried to use the unlock code on wherigo.com and it didn't work. Roadies mentioned in a previous log on Geocaching.com to use the first 15 characters of the code and it worked.
Thanks for a fun Wherigo!

Enjoyed the game! We did this one at night with my son who lives here and knows the area well guiding us right along. We were plumb tired after hiking the Lynn woods all day. Thanks for placing this where i go, there are not many around!

I've only done a couple of Wherigo caches but it has always been in a group. Today, I convinced my son Kevin, the one with the "special equipment" to join me and together we tried to figure out how this operates. I chose to park in one location and walk the "Witch City Tour" and it was a tour! We only had trouble in one location but we just walked outside the zone then returned and it seemed to do the trick. A very enjoyable afternoon in Salem. Thanks Bumble!

Worked well on iPhone 5 and Oregon 550T with one small bug at one zone. When navigating to that zone the actual text showed up right away, instead on the proximity. Zones should be bigger or the proximity higher to avoid zone chasing. Also the cartridge doesn't seem to have the end when the script marks the cartridge as completed, so I had to use the completion code instead of uploading the file.
Overall nice sightseeing guide through the Witch city. Thanks marcipanek
