An adventure in Ballymena, steeped in its history is Linen Production.

About This Cartridge

An adventure in the grounds of the People's Park in Ballymena with its hidstoric links with the linen industry

Starting Location

Plenty of space to park in the Car Park, accessed from the Doury Road entrance. Walk through the park past the big building and you will find your starting point.

Took about twenty minutes to complete the cartridge although admittedly I walked rather than fast between one zone and another. Learnt a few things I didn't know about the finer points of the linen industry along the way. Played the cartridge using Geowigo on Windows phone and had no issues at any point, all worked fine :)

FTF @ 17.37.

My first wherigo that I have started and finished all in the same day and only my second wherigo find.

After weeks of being taunted about the wherigo in the making and being kept in the dark about what it was about and when it would be published I was over the moon when it was published during my white day spell.
The wherigo itself worked a dream on the iPhone with no glitches although some of the extra Ballymena slang was a puzzle in itself to work out. Maybe a proof reader would of helped. Maybe now I know the story I will be allowed to help edit it slightly :)

Knowing the area rather well I parked up on the Ballymoney road ready to begin. The whole wherigo took around 25 minutes to complete. I would recommend others who are knew to the area to take their time and enjoy the area. It is a lovely wee park with good playground areas, pavilion and tennis courts along with a lot more area the wherigo doesn't cover due to another cache placed in the park. Take a stroll up round the other paths. They all loop back in together and of course don't forget the bread for the ducks:)
