Played and completed this whereigo today. Easy walk around to view the expensive homes of the time. We enjoyed the morning with a little misting rain, great temperatures and overcast skys. This cartridge worked great on my Garmin 550. Thanks

Loved, loved this whereigo. I decided to do it early in the morning while people would be still waking. The homes were lovely, I especially liked the home where Sam Houston use to give speeches from the balcony.

Found the cache easily. It is in very good condition and ready for the next finder.

Thanks for the great WIG!!

Fun and historical! The geocache at the end was pretty tough to find.

Found this wherigo online while looking for caches to find at the Texas Challenge. Played the game with LilyLuv, Rugrat10, & LM6. Then meet another family wanting to work the wherigo as well. Made the tour and saw some really nice houses, and had a great time seeing these historic homes.

Played this while attending the Texas Challenge 2014. I wanted to complete a wherigo and this one was convenient. This ended up being my surprise favorite of the day. I walked this entire route in the evening just after sunset and reminisced about the small town in North Dakota where my grandparents lived. I used to enjoy walking the streets in the evening there as well. The smell of cut grass, the cool air, slight breeze and wind through the leaves made you appreciate the quiet, spaces and greenery between these homes as opposed to the crammed hustle and bustle of Austin suburbia. The architecture of the homes can be well appreciated even at night, and in some the stained glass windows showed their color in the darkness.
