A nice tour through a nice city. Not a surprise that it runs well on my "Sony Xperia Z1 Compact". Just the final co-ordinates used of the cartridge were a little bit OFF on two smartphones. Entered the shown co-ordinates into a Garmin we got much closer to GZ.

Today I decided to kill several birds with one road trip: tick a calendar box; get a Jasmer; get eight cache types in a day; make a start to a snooker challenge (namely GC4NYHP); and get a Sidetracked outside of Scotland so I can qualify for GC471AV.
Having looked closely at a map, I decided Cumbria was the best bet for all this: myriad cache types in Carlisle, plus a webcam and a letterbox relatively nearby and a virtual on the way home. Sorted.

This was my twelfth cache of the day (14 in all). I adore Wherigos, I wish there were more of them. I wish I had the tech smarts to make one too! A brisk whip-round the town centre - a few spots of rain threatening, but idly, to spoil the fun - before hitting a wall at the final virtual stage. "Bit vague, isn't it?" I thought, until I realised I was being too dense for my own good. Once I had the coords, I went to the GZ, only to determine, after an hour of fine-tooth combing - and messaging the CO - that the cache was missing. Thankfully the CO very graciously let me count this as a find, as he confirmed that I was in the right place and that the container was missing. TFTW!

Just 147 Snooker Challenge.

A nice walk around Carlisle. I have been unable to unlock the cartridge - no completion code and the .gws file wont upload.

After our initial foray around Carlisle we encountered some technical difficulties with our equipment!! After contacting the CO he kindly pointed us in the right direction and after the turkey sandwiches for lunch we headed out to claim the find. Another great Wherigo and thanks to the CO for the time and effort in creating it.
