Historical wander round Wellington Barracks.

About This Cartridge

In 1845 The Barracks were completed and in 1873 became home for the 20th East Devonshire Regiment after their move North.

In 1881 The Wellington Barracks became Home to The Lancashire Fusiliers, up until their demolition in 1969.

This Wherigo will take you on a tour of the Barracks and show you where some of the outbuildings were once situated.

Starting Location

The starting location is a handy place to park and is not far from the Guardhouse and main entrance.

We found this wherigo adventure very interesting from a historical aspect and completed it relatively straightforwardly.
It played perfectly on my android smartphone.

First time with a wherigo, good fun. Everything worked fine. Very much appreciate the effort put in to creating it. Also a great history tour.

A very enjoyable Wherigo, all stages worked perfectly and we particularly enjoyed the historical information about the area and it was difficult to imagine what it must've been like. It was really interesting having the remaining remnants of the old barracks pointed out to us as we certainly would not have noticed otherwise. We felt a little conspicuous visiting the hospital but luckily as it was early on a Sunday morning there was no one around, in fact we didn't see another soul on our walk around the barracks.

Once at GZ a quick find, all was quiet.

First real time with a wherigo, or well the first that managed to find the final location. Really interesting for the history of the location. Enjoyed it.

Our first WhereIGo, and a fun experience which shows off the potential of the format excellently. Great fun to do with the kids. A FTF as well! Thanks to the CO.
