This is a walking tour of Fort Langley, British Columbia. The cartridge is "loosely" following the Fort Langley walking tour that is property of the Langley Heritage Society.

About This Cartridge

This cartridge is for cache GC8EGCA which is here: (visit link)

As of June 2020, someone knocked over and damaged the decorative horse outside the Langley Centennial Museum and National Exhibition Center. I have therefore had to make a change in the cartridge. Enjoy!

The Langley Heritage Society walking tour can be downloaded here: (visit link)

For more information on the Langley Heritage Society, their web site is: (visit link)

NOTE: When playing this cartridge - at each stop a popup window appears with: SCAN A QR CODE - ignore this. It is a function of the WhereIgo and I cannot erase it. It is highly annoying but "someone" thought that QR code reading should be a feature even though there is no way to use that during the construction of a cartridge. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Starting Location

The starting point is at the corner of Glover Rd and Mavis Ave. in downtown Fort Langley B.C.

A great tour of this historical town.
Though we struggled with finding the cache at the end.

I was in Fort Langley to complete the Adventure Lab cache and I thought I would play the Wherigo as well, since I was out this way. After playing the Wherigo, I feel like it is like a super deluxe Adventure Lab cache. I very much enjoyed my walk around Fort Langley and all the kewl historic places the Wherigo took me to. The final cache was clever and fun! Thanks for the adventure!

We decided this would be our focus today. Two of our group though they had downloaded the cartridge but arrived without it. I had no problem and it played well. We were a little confused at the 'freebie' stop but soon had it figured out. At the last point we were on the wrong side of a fence but once around the obvious gz appeared. We completed in an hour and 20 minutes and we were not rushing, just enjoying the nice weather. We could have grabbed some caches for our rookie on the way but ended up going for a walk after to get them for her.

Don't do many wherigo caches so took a bit to get started and have the first window pop up. Once I got going things went well till I got to the final and the unlock code popped up and the map showing proximity to the cache was gone. I was expecting to be closer to the cache and spent quite a bit of time looking in the wrong place. Even though I knew the hint I didn't notice it or expect it to be where it was. Finally resorted to paf and then I wondered how I missed it. Then a quick find. Cache is in great shape and nicely hidden. I enjoyed the walk. From the time I left the car until I got back it was 2 hours and I had walked 4.45 km. Took a couple of wrong turns and detours. Thanks for all the effort put into creating and placing this cache.
