This short and easy Wherigo can be walked the entire way, approximately 40 minutes of flat walking terrain.
The Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve contains the largest tract of undisturbed marshland remaining in the San Francisco Bay. Fifteen miles of multi-use trails provide access to a unique mixture of tidal and fresh water habitats. The preserve encompasses 1,940 acres and is owned by the city of Palo Alto. It is an important habitat for migratory shorebirds and is considered one of the best bird-watching spots on the West Coast. It also has a somewhat controversial and interesting history.

I love WhereIGos and this one was perfect. Beautiful nature for sunny day, almost nobody around when I arrived and I enjoy as well the given information.
It worked perfect and I was able to unlock cartridge as well ... I already meet this issues and I learned that only limited amount of characters from the unlock code is required.

I completed this Wherigo and found the cache, but this site will not give me credit for doing so. I'm pretty sure I copied down the unlock code correctly, but the site tells me it's invalid. I cannot get my Whereyougo app to re-generate the code without being physically present at GZ, and I cannot upload the save file because this site thinks it's the wrong format.
It's too bad that I had to go through all this crap because it's not really the CO's fault, and the cartridge itself was fun to play. I did enjoy the tour of the Baylands preserve.

Headed over with DT21, TBB, and MB after the breakfast on the patio. Enjoyed each well-thought and well-placed stage! (Couldn't get the completion code to work at any length and didn't get a .gwc file.) Thanks for the Wherigo!
