This cache will take you on a photo tour of several of the metro areas near Detroit, MI. At the end you will be able to log GC1FXPB.
This cartridge will take you on a photo tour of some of the more recognizable (and possibly not so recognizable) places, buildings, objects, etc. in the metro Detroit area.
In order to complete this cartridge you will have to drive past each of the pictured items. Once you drive next to it the item should be checked off in the task list. Once all of the items have been checked off you will then see the coordinates of the final zone (and cache).
The posted starting location is within 2 miles of the geocache. Recommendation - start from the south and work your way north.

SL at 3:55 pm. Failed to complete three of the tasks yesterday when both our Smartphone and iPad (...brought our NEW iPad3 with us as backup) failed to fire up at two of the three Zones farthest from the posted coords. Figuring the tall buildings may have had something to do with it, we drove back out today to give it another try. Another three and a half hours of driving in circles down one-way streets waiting for each of the locations to fire up, we finally completed the other two Zones, having discovered where we had gone wrong. Can't believe we forgot to turn on BOTH gps functions on the phone (...android requires activating both phone and app gps functions?!), which of course we only discovered after driving all the way back to the posted coords thinking it would somehow activate the cartridge? Located (after a bit of a search) and turned on the second gps function (...the wherigo app) Zone 1 fired up immediately...then quickly made our way back to Zones 3 and 4 to give them another try. All Zones now completed, completion code and coords punched in, we were off to grab the final. Two days and five simple tasks that should have only taken us a couple of hours, start to finish, since three of the Zones were fairly close together, took us approx. 8 1/2 hours to complete (...driving time included), ended up being one of the most rewarding and CHALLENGING wherigo's we've completed to date. GREAT JOB Khan!

I've been wanting to do this one for a while. I knew the locations, but didn't have a reason to drive around and pick them up.
The key turning points was getting a Wherigo player on the iphone and some meetings I had around town. That let me drive around and pick up the triggers easily. Picking up the ones downtown was a bit crazy due to all the construction and temp one way streets.
Getting the cache was something else. I'm glad that my best opportunity was while doing the "50 State Trivia" series with bretina. I was going to do it first, but was running a little behind. Luckily that let me save it for last to cap off my run to 60 caches!
TFTC. Thx for helping to reach 60 in a day. Thx for letting me add one more whereigo to my list. I'm on #2. :)

Finished this up after figuring out how to get it to run on my Droid. I'm a sucker for new icons. :) I got it running a few weeks ago and grabbed to location close by however, we waited till today when Eshinol wasn't feeling well so we just had to drive. Thanks a lot for putting this out.
