In 60 minutes, I completed this Wherigo mission today. I had completed it a couple years ago, but the container was missing from the final. The locations where all familiar, ever with road construction closed roads and many bicyclists enjoying the day. To reach the final, I had a zigzag path. But I was happy to sign the log. I recommend this Wherigo to anyone who wants to try one for the first time.

This was my first WIG that resulted in a cache find. Very well layed out. I did have a bit of an issue with it freezing up on my PocketPC. I don't know if it was an issue with the cartridge, or if my PC was just having issues. Once I got down to the last couple locations it worked great.
It took me a while to find my way to the mud and the playground. I kept going down dead-end streets and having to turn around.

Nicely done!! Having a familiarity with the area would have helped, but found our way around and found the final during a quick summer rainshower!!

This was a fun and well done wherigo, But we spent way too much time trying to locate the sand. The odd roads and river got us really turned around. You don't cross the River to find the sand and you should be walking the bike trail along the river to get it. This cache did take us to some rather interesting stops! TFTC

was in town with 2 newbies for the hockey playoff games and decided to show them how wigs work. have to say that this was the longest distance-wise wig's i have done. having never been to cedar rapids before we still found it very easy to find our way around and complete this wig. cartridge worked flawlessly. thanks for the hard work. keep them coming.

Our second whereigo of the day! We have been thinking of doing a wherigo in our area for an upcoming event. We aren't ready to upgrade our old garmin gps. We were excited to find an app for this kind of cache hunting for our Droids. We came to Cedar Rapids today to see if it works. Yes it does! We enjoyed the challenge and story line of this cache. We got stuck on one particular point and skipped it. Fortunately, we ran into a couple of fellow geocachers on the trail, Weasel and Supergoober, who gave us a hint on the geography of that stage (Thanks guys!). Then we were able to finish the mission and log the final. This was very well done! Now we have some ideas for placing one further west.

Everything worked fairly well on the Droid with two exceptions. 1) The navigation arrow often didn't point in the correct direction; we had to rely on the increasing and decreasing distance to help us hone in on the stage locations. 2) We were unable to unlock the cartridge after completion even though we had a valid saved game. It appears that the saved Droid WhereYouGo "OWS" file is not compatible with Wherigo, which requires a "GWS" file. Changing the file extension doesn't solve the problem.

Even with these difficulties we had a great time playing this cartridge and are quite pleased to give it a 5-star rating. Nice work, Borky00! TFTW.

co-FTF @ 2:31 PM. WOW!! This was FUN!! Ron stumbled across the cache this morning (no email notification) and shot it over to my computer. The title read ‘New Cache’. Really? COOL!! I clicked in and the first thing I saw was the name ‘Borky00’! WooHoo!! You had my undivided attention. Unfortunately we couldn’t drop everything and dart out the door today. A routine vet appointment for our cat, Sparky, was scheduled at 9. While twiddling our thumbs waiting for lab results an e-mail from JDLC showed up. Following an encouraging phone conversation with the vet and lunch, we met JD at the ‘starting point’. That was somewhere around 12:40. Thank goodness for long johns and boots. This was JD’s first Wherigo, our 4th. We giggled our way through the journey. I love the topic/story - CREATIVE!! We spotted a likely location for the final from afar. A blank logbook was waiting! A few fumbles and nearly 2 hours later we claimed co-FTF. VERY well done Borky. We appreciated your time and talents to create so much fun for the rest of us. ‘Alien Mission’ is very much ‘a favorite’. Oh and valuable lesson learned - save acquired information following each stage – our GPS shut down three times. *sigh*
