A very interesting walk around with additional information boards as well as the cartridge. Bush wacking the prickles was needed at 13 other than that all went well. Finally we had the coord and a scramble getting the well hidden cache to sign at GZ. We were rather surprised we didn’t get a completion code at the end.

We were soon on our way enjoying reading all the information as we made our way around the park. We used the Oregon and the iphone app which we found being able to view the map really useful. Unfortunately the battery ran out on the iphone but that didn't matter as we had the trusty oregon which got us to the final location no problem. The cache was nicely hidden away and a good size too. Took TB.

Many thanks for all your hard work setting up this wherigo for us to enjoy today.

Completed using an Oregon and Samsung Galaxy S4. We always use multiple devices for Wherigos just in case of problems but this one worked fine on both.

Very interesting location and certainly somewhere we would never have visited if it hadn't been for caching (we are not local by any means)

The rain held off for an enjoyable pootle around the park.

This was a lot of fun. We had never used Wherigo before, but somebody mentioning it on the Essex Geocachers FB page reminded me that I had started to investigate it but not got very far. We went out fully equipped - 2 Android phones and an Android tablet running WhereYouGo, and a Mio P350 pocket PC running Wherigo. Plus new gaiters all round to cope with the snow/mud!
We had a few technical hitches at first, mostly from trying the different map settings which kept causing the WhereYouGo app to crash - HINT: exit the cartrdige to save your progress at each new location, otherwise you have to go back to the beginning again! Apart from that, the only technical problems we had were from the devices running out of power.
We thoroughly enjoyed exploring areas of the park that we had never been to before, we didn't even know that the factory used to be there. Even the kids found the history fascinating. But the pull of the playground was too much, and we had to choose between finishing the route or going to the park. The playground won, on condition that everyone agree to going back again the next day, which is what we did - to even more mud!! So we proved 2 days running that gaiters are not enough to keep our 7-year old's trousers clean, and will probably now buy him waterproof trousers instead.
The final scramble up the bank to the cache did result in a lot of sliding around but amazingly no-one actually sat down in the mud. We were impressed by how dry the cache contents were.

Sorry for the late log! We did another WhereIgo today and realised we'd never reviewed this one (only logged the associated geocache). We did this cache with Mr E's mum and dad on an unseasonably nice day in November. We loved the mix of geocaching and family history. After a bit of a false start (mainly due to unfamiliarity with the Android app) we found the trail easy to follow. Our tracking breadcrumbs show we walked nearly every path on site! Great story and information. We took some good photos and found the cache fairly quickly at the end. Mr E scrambled to GZ. A well-stocked cache - and what else could the container have been?! Thanks for all the hard work that went into setting this.

Wow. Loved this.

My first Whereigo and I wasn't disappointed. I played using the PiGo iPhone app and it was spot on all the way. Found the cache easily at the end as well. Only minor negative was that some of the spelling was off so perhaps needs a proof read?

Other than that. Excellent!
