A cracking day to be sat at home watching repeats on TV so we headed out to find another Wherigo. It was a lovely scene as we arrived at the car park with kids sledging, and some adults! We headed off to the starting point and after 30 minutes or so we arrived at the GZ. We made an absolute meal of locating the cache, and at one point we were ready to call it a day, thinking that we had been beaten by the snow on the ground. Just then Jo slipped and low and behold she spotted the container!!

We parked just off the road and walked up the track to start this one just as the sun was setting. Really enjoyed this Wherigo, all stages worked perfectly and loved the final bit, Mr D raced off first and Mrs D followed shortly after - amusingly Mrs D reached the trig point from a different direction at exactly the same time as Mr D - all those visits to the gym have paid off.

I completed this with Unobtanium on a lovely sunny morning - it took about half an hour and we were blessed with lovely views over the area.

Our 2nd Wherigo. This took me to an area that I've never visited before. Popular walking spot.

A good'un!
The howling wind and ever-threatening rain didn't help, but the quest was enjoyable nevertheless. All the paths were raging rivers and I'm growing webs of skin between my toes.
I did this one using my T-Mobile MDA Compact 3 mobile phone instead of the Mio P350 PDA and found it much quicker at locating stations.
The final took a bit of hunting, but Percy Verance helped again - I'm going to take him with me whenever I go out caching!

Log from GC.com - Well after finding all the nearby caches and visiting the trig point it was onto complete this Whereigo. The cartridge ran without fault on my Oregon 300. After finding the 3 power sources my heart sank when I saw the message about getting to the porthole in that time. Well I made it with time to spare. The weather held out for me with no rain which was coming down by the bucket full back home in Manchester. Took some time to locate the final cache but go there in the end. Thanks for the Whereigo and the great walk. Left Geocoin. Back to the car now for lunch.

This is a good Wherigo cache, firstly the GPS signal is so good up here I didn't have a problem finding all the waypoints, secondly it takes you to some interesting locations, and thirdly I managed to bag another cache and a trig point while I was here.
The cartridge worked perfectly on my iPAQ so I've no complaints and it required a short search when I reached the end before I found the cache.
Just make sure you don't dawdle on the way to the time portal!
