The Tattoine Incident was an event that occurred in Tatton Estate, Cheshire, UK on the night of 14 February 1953. There were sitings of 2 Unidentified Landed Objects (ULOs) and the subsequent discovery of The Device of The Dark Side within The Estate. The Incident came to my attention recently when I was bequeathed a copy of a top secret UK government report into The Incident. Pages of this report have been hidden in a 3 stage multi-cache in Tatton Park (GC16ZTC: THE TATTOINE INCIDENT).

About This Cartridge

This Wherigo cartridge complements the existing 3 stage multi-cache but allows a more interactive tour. It includes an additional bonus cache which is exclusive to the Wherigo experience.

For those of you who are unable to visit the cache in person full details of The Incident and further research respources are available on Pandemi's website: www.pandemi.co.uk

In addition to providing details about The Incident itself, the tour also includes extensive information about the other features and attractions of this beautiful part of Cheshire.

The cartridge plays in the builder/emulator but you will really need to access the pages of The Report on the ground or from the website to understand what is really going on here. Also, there is a codeword in the Stage 4 cache which you will need to enter to 'complete' the cartridge.

There were some early bugs caused by audio files but these have been sorted. However, please make sure you download the latest version before you go.

Starting Location

Main Car Park at Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, UK, WA16 6QN.

We have been looking forward to completing The Tattoine Incident Wherigo for some time. Downloaded the cartridge to the iPad and set off to Knutsford. The cartridge worked flawlessly on the iPad, although navigating it I found it be less than intuitive.

We completed all the stages, it was very interesting, we can see a lot of work has gone in to creating The Tattoine Incident. The final stage however was disappointing as the cartridge would not accept the codeword. Still, we had a good time and I'm sure it would be fabulous in the spring and summer time. Thank you for your hard work in creating this wherigo.

The day we chose to do this wherigo the Flower show was also on, so it was incredibly busy here today. We were told where to park which was half a mile from the start of the game. Once we had started the walk was lovely and really interesting. We all experienced problems with our cartridges crashing and refusing to allow us to reload our saved games and certain points on the walk, but eventually as we kept walking we were able to carry on with the game. Found the final location easily. The saved game was unable to be up loaded on the wherigo site which is a shame.
Thanks for all your hard work in setting up the wherigo we really enjoyed it.

Lovely sunny day to visit the park, we had a good look around the gardens before finding this cache. A very enjoyable walk around the park and we were glad we remembered to pack water into our rucksacks as it was such a hot day. Thanks for setting up this great Wherigo.

A nice walk in the snow but very glad that I kept saving my progress as it did keep closing the GPS down - very frustrating - I easily found all the stages. There are good (not cheap!) refreshments available from the cafe.
